UPDATE 5/19/23

OLR has informed DC 37 of the following changes to the Contract Pay Dates schedule:

  • H+H: Due to payroll maintenance that takes place during the month of May, Health + Hospitals will not be able to process the rate and retro increases on the dates that were previously announced for per annum and hourly employees. The new dates will be announced as soon as they are available.
  • Mayoral Agencies: The date for the rate increase effective May 26 will be paid on June 23 instead of June 9.

DC 37 members ratified the citywide economic agreement on March 31, 2023 with 97.7% approval. More here.

*Update on contract negotiations and Pay Dates. On March 31, 2023 over 97% of overall DC37 members voted “YES” for the contract with a 56% of members’ participation. Members of Local 154 showed a 62% participation and 98.5% of them voted “Yes”. This Contract will cover the period May 2021-November 2026. The deal includes:

  • 5-year deal
  • 3,000 Ratification Bonus, payable to people in payroll at the time of ratification.
  • Increases for a total of 16.21% compounded:

3% on  5/26/2021 /  3% on 5/26/2022   /   

3% on 5/26/2023 /  3% on 5/26/2024 /  3.25% on 5/26/2025.

 Tentative Payment dates:

Mayoral Agencies (See updates above)

April 28 – Ratification Bonus (prorated for part-time workers)

May 26 – 3% Increases and retroactive for 2021 and 2022

June 23 – 3% increase and new salary rate starting May 2023 - 

 NYCHA – Bonus on May 4 / June 1st , (3%&3% retro for 2021 and 2022) /  June 15 for 2023 increase

H&H – Bonus on May 12 / May 26, 3% increase for 2021 / June 9, 3% increase for 2022 / June 23, 3% increase for May 2023 

DOE – Bonus on 4/27/23 / May 26, 2023 (Increase to Gross and Retro pay for 5/2021 and 5/2022) / June 22, 2023 (Increase to Gross for 5/2023).

What is owed to you? If your salary is $50,000 your retroactive pay (6%) will be approximately $3,000.

 What will be your new salary?  Effective May 26, 2023, your salary will increase approximately 9% over your current base salary,   If your current base salary is $50,000 then your salary on 5/26/2023 will be approximately $54,500.

 Work Flexibility Committee (Remote work, telecommuting, compressed time, etc.). As part of the Economic Agreement, DC37 is discussing with the City on details for a Work Flexibility Policy and Program, expected to be in place by June 1st, 2023.
