Contract Agreement with Transit Authority

Covers Local 154, 375, 1407, 2627, 1655 and 983 at Transit

      On January 18, 2008 DC 37 reached a contract agreement with Transit Authority. The contract covers all Local 154 Claim Specialists at TA. Among its most important aspects, the agreement removes the salary cap, increases the supper allowance from $7 to $8.25 after two hours of overtime, increases the annual leave carry over and creates, for the first time at Transit, a Medical Leave Bank. The Leave Bank would allow members to donate time for co-workers.

      Local 154 was represented at the negotiation by President Juan Fernández, Chapter Chair Robert Mobyed and Shop Stewards Alan Mendelson and Howard Ader. A committee composed by Shop Steward Alan Mendelson, and Local 375, and Transit representatives drafted the Medical Leave Bank document.
